God, the dealer name doesn’t make it a special edition.

I know right? It’s so special BMW told another manufacturer that isn’t even based in the same country to make it. Now that’s a special edition.

My mother is proud of her John Hiester Edition Chevrolet Equinox.
It’s brown.

There really was a brighton edition! I dove one at a dealer in 1999/1998 or so... I thought this was common knowledge.

Takes pictures of pictures on a screen? Otherwise seems legit, just a bit of a dimwit when it comes to doing the ad. And yes there actually was a Brighton edition, it was a name given to the base models to make it sound fancier than it actually was. I drove on at a dealer in 99 or so.

Brighton was Subarus base model trim. You could get it on the Impreza as well. It was just a stripped out version with a smaller engine.

“The 1996 model line-up replaced the base version with the low-content Brighton trim, also used in the Legacy model.”
